"Serene retreat and conference"
FIVE OUT OF FIVE
This is a great little place in the western suburbs of Detroit, featuring peaceful, relaxing grounds and facilities, including gardens and a chapel - plus conference and meeting room space. It really is quite a nice place, originally built as a seminary and now also incorporating a golf club/resort and conference center. The staff is always polite and helpful, and the unique meeting space in the main building lends characteristics typically not found in the typical conference center. Their large ballroom fits a good crowd, and the hotel bar and restaurant can accommodate before and/or after affairs for some smaller groups. There is craft beer and a variety of wines available in the bar and restaurant, and the chef's creations are a good deal better than the standard hotel fare - a good option if you wish not to venture into the city for dinner while attending your event.

Perfect reception. Everything was done perfectly. We couldn't have been happier. Well worth every penny!

We stayed here recently for a family wedding. We were very impressed with the hotel and grounds. The staff was super friendly and very helpful. I had a wardrobe malfunction and desperately needed a safety pin. A stop at the front desk and within 2 minutes I had my pin.
The rooms were large and the bed was more comfortable than the one at home. The bathroom was very spacious and super clean. The chapel and reception area couldn't have been nicer. The food and waitstaff were excellent. We enjoyed a nightcap at their very lively bar only steps away from our room. I most definitely would stay here again.

This is a great facility. Three of us stayed for a week on business and we're every impressed with the hotel. The rooms we're clean and the furniture was in good condition. The on-site restaurant had good food and a nice bar. I've stayed a 5 star resorts that weren't this clean or well maintained.

... Everything is SO organized and professional from booking through wedding night. The chapel is exquisite and does not need a lot of decor and same goes for the grande ballroom. Everything that night from the timeline, the food, the alcohol, etc. was absolutely perfect - and the service is in fact white glove. My guests are still raving about how beautiful everything was, how the service was top notch, and how good the food was. If you can swing it, definitely go to St. John's, you will not be let down.

This past weekend my family had the pleasure of staying at the Inn to attend our son's wedding, also booked at the Inn. We all were treated to an exceptional weekend as your staff and employees all conducted themselves with the professionalism and acumen seldom seen in today's travels. I wish to thank each of you, from the young man and young woman who checked our party into the hotel amid some scheduling confusion (you know who you are), the employees working on each floor (I think I visited every floor), the bartender in the Five Restaurant, the young men offering to assist us with our luggage and answer any questions, and the staff available to answer our impromptu queries as we relaxed between scheduled events. The rooms were quiet, the hotel was impeccable, and the grounds are gorgeous. Exceed my expectations? Yes, you did!
Thank you, thank you, thank you. We highly recommend you and hope to have the pleasure of a return visit!

Living in Texas, this was an out-of-state wedding for us, but The Inn at St. John's made it SO easy. We (and our guests) loved being able to go from the ceremony, to the reception, to the hotel - without having to step outside. The entire space is so beautiful. Also, the service exceeded expectations! They were so helpful and would get you things before you even asked for it. I am so thankful to have been able to have our wedding here.

I have stayed here several times over the years on business trips, most recently in early November. Love the large, well appointed rooms, the nice fitness center, proximity to local restaurants (they also serve excellent food on site) and the super friendly staff. I also love the character of the place, far beyond the typical cheap functionality of the chain business hotels!

The Inn at St. John's was such a wonderful vendor. They made the whole planning and execution of my wedding day stress free and easy. The staff was on top of everything from the ceremony plan, timing, rehearsal, and music to the pre-marital counseling and down to every detail of the reception setup and take down. I was so relaxed on my wedding day, knowing that I could trust The Inn at St. John's staff and recommended vendors to take care of everything. Everything was on schedule and set up to perfection. I felt like all I had to do is show up and enjoy my wedding day. All my guests had such a great time and loved the beautiful setting of the Atrium room. All of my other vendors worked so well with The Inn at St. John's staff and having everything at one location (ceremony, reception, hotel) was amazing and so convenient. The Inn at St. John's is the perfect location to have a wedding if you want a classy, organized, beautiful, and stress free one-stop-shop affair.

"We had our daughter's wedding at The Inn at St. Johns this past weekend. The accomodations for the guests were excellent. The staff and support we received for the wedding at the church and the hall were above our expectations. All the guests were very impressed with the organization, service and the friendliness of the staff. We appreciate your services and highly recommend The Inn for vacation travel or event plans.
Thank you so much for making our event so very special."
